Hillsborough Arena Sports Association ltd is a registered charity that was first established in 1998.
We are a community recreational and social centre that is owned, managed and used by the people of the local area.
Built with primarily lottery funding the facility was originally desinged for creating a dedicated space for grass roots sports and for many years was home to a number of rugby teams and athletics.
Later it also became the home to junior football clubs as well as providing an arena for local schools and the wider community.
Over recent years the venue has undergone many changes, not only in its appearance but also in the way that we serve our community. As a charity, we receice no government funding so the upkeep and running expenses are covered by the activities that we run and the partnerships we engage with.
The Park View is our community interest company that is our main source of income. It provides a fully licensed bar and cafe on a daily basis but also delivers over 300 amazing events each year ranging from childrens parties and baby showers, through to wedding ceremonies and evening receptions and huge conference, exhibition and festivals.
All of the profit generated from holding such events is fed directly back into the venue and its upkeep and allows us to work with and subsidise other activities held at the venue such as charity events, community engagements and our amazing partnerships we have with our adult social care groups.
The charity also facilitates any and all continues sporting and recreational activities on site including our full size football pitch and our all weather MUGA pitch.
